Llanishen Reservoir Walk
Ever had one of those days when things don't go to plan. Sarah and I were due to meet about 4pm on the 19th May our usual Thursday for a bike ride. However Sarah's bike was in the shed and she had lost the key! Whilst I had a spare bike the tyre was a bit flat and I couldn't get the pump to work - its a girlie thing!!
Anyway with one working bike between us we could have not got there - but then it was a Thursday and we wanted our Adventure so we set off for a walk from my house around both Llanishen reservoir and Lisvane reservoir. Click on the image map below for a detailed route of our walk.
This is a lovely walk only spoiled these days because Lisvane reservoir is drained and is currently part of a campaign by the local community - click here for more information. It was on this walk we talked about doing the 21 mile gold route to try to raise some much need funds for the campaign. This is not a long walk only approx 6km and takes a little over an hour depending on what route you take. If you are looking for a longer walk then it is possible to link up with a walk around Roath Park. Hopefully in the coming months we will do this longer version and include an update.
