Cross Country 

Age groups

 

Under 11 - School Years 4,5 and 6 but must be 9 on the day of the competition

Under 13 - School years 7 and 8

Under 15 - School Years 9 and 10

Under 17 - School years 11 and 12

Under 20 - under the age of 20 in the year of competition.  

Senior - Over 20 

Masters age groups start at 35 or over on the day of competition and are grouped into 10 year age groups.

Cross Country fixtures in 2019 start with schools cross country matches in September.  

​

Club fixtures commence with the Gwent League series of meetings in October and run through to March 2020.

​

During the winter there is an East Wales Championship usually held in one of the first 2 Gwent Leagues open to all age groups from under 11 (9 on the day of competition) to Masters and a Welsh Cross Country Championships.  There are regional, schools,

college and university representative fixtures.  Your coach should be able to provide more information if its not available here.
