Athlete of the Month and Club Person of the Month - May

Congratulations to all athletes nominated. It was a very difficult decision to choose between so many fantastic performances which is a credit to you all. As a panel member it is great to look at the nominations and realise that we are considering performances from all aspects of the sport; sprinting and hurdles, endurance running (on track and on the road), jumps and throws. This is a credit to the athletes, of course, and their coaches who provide such a range of opportunities.

Your athlete of the month for May is Dan Cork, congratulations Dan.

Your club person of the month for May is Chloe Powell, congratulations Chloe.

As we approach one of the busiest weekends for the track season, with the Junior Welsh Championships and round two of the Midland Athletics League, we wish all our competitors well for their competitions this weekend. The panel looks forward to considering nominations for June's athlete and club person of the month in due course.

Dan received his award at club on Thursday 27th June 2019. See photos below. Chloe will be presented with hers at the next next Midlands league match on Saturday the 6th July 2019

Congratulations to Chloe Powell - Newport Harrier club member of the month - MAY , she was presented with her award at Burton in the Midlands league. No doubt between the many events she was competing in :)
