Sad News

A short while ago Life Member Graham Sellway passed away. Graham was into his 80s at the time of his death.

Graham was a local businessman and a road and cross country runner with Newport Harriers for many year and financially supported the squads of athletes that represented the club in the European Clubs Cross Country Championships.

Many of the financial donations he made were recorded as anonymous donations. When the club house in the Geleblands was destroyed by an arson attack Graham helped in the rebuilding by providing free labour and materials. He was rewarded with life membership for this commitment.

When Newport Harriers moved to Spitty Graham drifted away from the club, but he was still an occasional visitor for a number of years.

Graham's funeral has already taken place.
