COVID 19 Newport Lockdown

Updated: Sep 23, 2020

Following Mark Drakeford's announcement today it is unfortunate that we have further restrictions that will impact on training and competition.

From 6:00 pm tomorrow only athletes with addresses in the Newport County Borough Council Area will be able to travel around the Newport Area other than for work or essential reasons (e.g. healthcare). This means that only athletes from the following postcodes should attend training sessions from 6:00 pm on 22nd September until further notice. If you travel from outside these postcodes you will not be admitted to the stadium.

CF3 - Marshfield and Castleton only

NP10

NP18

NP19

NP20

Please help the administration process by not booking a session if your postcode is not listed above. It has been pointed out that the above postcodes, whilst a good guide do not precisely corelate to Newport County Borough Council Boundaries. If you pay your council tax to Newport you may continue to use the stadium during the current local lockdown. If you pay your council tax to any other local authority you should not attend any sessions at Newport Stadium until further notice.

If you live within one of the locked down council areas, of Caerphilly, RCT, Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr, Newport and Bridgend you should also not travel to compete.
