England Indoor Championships

24/25 February, Sheffield

Two Newport Harriers competed this weekend in the England Indoor Age Group Championships.

As a first year U20 Remi Adebiyi came 6th in 1500m. Remi is now a funded athlete – Ron Pickering Memorial Fund, plus he pockets the standard £30 from Welsh Athletics for competing here.

Antonia Dawes entered U15 60m hurdles. This was Antonia’s first competition at this level, and while she went out in the heats she gained valuable experience, plus a valuable commemorative hoodie.
