Newport Harriers' top trail runner, Cariad Roberts, completed 10K in 1:09:44
“This was a 2-lap course (only one lap for the 5k race) with a long steep uphill section of steps, some technical descents over slippery lime stone as well as a lot of flat sections. Starting the second lap and looking up those steps for a second time I did wonder if I should have done the 5k instead of 10k, but once at the top the remaining up-hills were minimal and the downhills were worth the effort.”
