Following the successful taster session at the National Indoor Centre with Monmouth Boys Prep, Newport Harriers coaches continued their primary school engagement when they visited Milton Primary School, in Ringland, Newport.
Organised by Membership Secretary and Milton teacher Kate Bradley, the whole of Year 6 received top instruction from a large team of coaches. Ken Goodger led on throws (shot & whistler), Hilary Goodger on jumps, Darryn McAtee led on sprints and endurance. They were supported by top coaches of the future Madeline Baker, Shireen Balouch and Caitlin Jones.
The Year 6 pupils were energetic and fully committed for over an hour. There was a lot of talent on display and some Milton children have subsequently attended Newport Harriers club sessions.
