Pontypool 10k 2018

Sunday 25th February 2018 saw the start of the annual St Davids Hospice Care Pontypool 10k. This year there were a number of Newport Harriers that braved the cold, crisp conditions to compete in a field of 600 runners. We had a mixture of club runners this year, both in the Senior categories for the full 10k run, and even in the Junior categories in the first ever 2k family fun run!

First over the finish line for Newport Harriers was Gareth Knight (M35) 38:33 to secure a 7th place finish overall, followed soon after by:

Stephen Locke (M40) 49:21 – Finished 26th in Age Category

Elaine Robinson (FV50) 55:48 – Finished 9th in Age Category

Gareth Jones (M70) 56:06 – Finished 1st in Age Category

So a massive Well Done to everyone who took part!!
