Sad News...

Audrey Bright .

Many of us would wish to pay our respects in person at the funeral of Audrey Bright.

The family have been informed that the service can now only be attended by family members.

The service was due to commence on Thursday 26th March 2020 at 11:30 am

Our thoughts are with the family who now are prevented from giving Audrey an appropriate send off.

If you wish to mark her passing please take a moment on Thursday to say a prayer or think of your memories of Audrey.

Audrey was the team manager of the Newport Harriers Women's team for a number of years in the Midland Women's League and successfully guided the team to promotion to the UK women's League. She managed the women's track and field team through its most successful period in the club's history. Audrey's success as a club team manager was acknowledged when she was involved in the Welsh Athletics Team Management set up for international Matches. Audrey was always professional in her outlook and was respected and loved by athletes, officials and committee members of the club.

Its with deep regret, the family can announce the passing of Audrey Bright , our mother and grandmother , at St David's Hospice yesterday afternoon 11th March 2020.

After a long illness , she finally lost the battle. All the family were at her side to the end.

We wish to put on record how well she was looked after by our father Tom Bright, St David's Hospice staff, local district nurses and many other volunteers.
