Under 11 Cup Final Report

Well done to all the athletes who competed at a very sunny Swansea on Sunday in the Cup Final. Newport finished in an excellent 4th place. Swansea were first followed by Cardiff Athletic Club and Cardiff Archers. Newport's position varied throughout the day between 2nd and 3 position. The final results were quite close for the top 5 teams.

It was lovely to see our team of children getting on so well and supporting each other and thank you to all the parents for your help and support.

The Under 11 team consisted of 7 girls, Aaliyah Beavan, Poppy Bevan, Nia Wakley, Lily Eaton, Sienna McKenna, Lois Codling and Teagan Werner.

6 boys, Dylan Evans, John Gibby, Seb Humphreys, Tom Berry, Henry Roach and Paolo Webb.

All our under 11s had an excellent day scoring lots of points for Newport Harriers.

I would also like to thank the parents who helped officiate, without your support we would not be able to run these events.

We had 10 individual pb's and the boys relay team also ran their fastest time of the season.

We also had a new club record in the girls 800m from Lois Codling who ran in a time of 2.45.56 easily beating Lisa Scarfi's previous record time of 2.47.04 in 2011.

Seb Humphreys had pb's in the 75m and 150m as well as being in the relay

Dylan Evans had pb's in the 800m, shot and Long jump and the relay

Henry Roach had pb's in the Javelin and the shot

Tom Berry had a very good pb in the long jump and relay

Paolo Webb had a very big pb in the javelin.

Once again well done to everyone who competed you were all stars on the day
