Welsh Senior Indoor Championships Day 1

Newport Harriers in action in Day 1 of the Welsh Senior Championships, which also included some junior events.

Silver medal to Daniel Cork. Final result has Dan with a PB of 15.40, though on the card best throw appears to be 15.63 in round 4. Either way it’s a PB so Dan should be pleased with the progress.

Tom Evans made it to the 400m final where he finished in 4th place but was 2nd Welsh athlete so took Newport's second silver of the day.

In the U15 Boys 800m final Leo Stark knocked 7 seconds off his PB to secure an excellent bronze medal behind boys a year ahead of him.

In Senior Women's 200m Zoe Nash progressed from heat to semi-final 2 where she was 3rd.

Tomos Davey was 3rd in his heat in Senior 400m, and Bethan Morgan was 9th in Senior long jump.
