Day 2 of the Welsh Senior Indoor Championships saw more podium success for Newport Harriers.

Remi Adebiyi produced a blistering kick over the final 100 metres to take gold in 1500m and set a new PB, with Jackson Mountford taking bronze behind him.

Our other two senior competitors featured in the 60m sprints. Zoe Nash was 3rd in Heat 1, while Dylan Howell was 6th in Men’s Heat 1.

In the U15 shot put competitions Newport dominated. Morgan Keen Williams took gold and Iwan Dark silver in the boys’ event, while Amelia Fettis took gold in the girls’ event with Cate Davies 5th.

Silver medals came Newport’s way on the track courtesy of Lily Hart in U15G 1500m, and Antonia Dawes in U17W 300m. Emily Grace and Cate Davies were 2nd and 3rd respectively in their U15G 300m heat.
